Mvungi fails to draw audience in Shinyanga

NCCR-Mageuzi has failed to hold election campaign rallies in Kambarage and Samuye wards in Shinyanga after its Union presidential flag bearer, Dr Sengondo Mvungi, was unable to raise an audience.
Dr Mvungi, who was accompanied by his running mate, Naila Jidawi, was to address the meetings.
The first meeting was to be held at Kambarage, where efforts by the regional party leaders to raise an audience failed to bear fruit.
The leaders were forced to postpone the event and proceed to Samuye, where preparations were going on for another rally.
The situation in Samuye ward was no different from what they had encountered at Kambarage.
However, the candidate managed to address supporters in Solwa township, where just a handful of people attended.
The party’s regional commissioner, Greyson Mwasega, said poor communication between his regional office and the party headquarters had resulted in non-attendance of the rallies.
Interviewed, businessmen told PST that the rallies had been scheduled at a wrong time – in the morning when people are busy.
