Now thugs storm Makamba’s house

Six gangsters stormed into the house of the Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner (RC), Yusuf Makamba, and stole property of unknown value.

The RC’s house is in Wazo Hill residential area on the outskirts of Dar es Salaam city centre.

According to an eyewitness, the incident occurred on Wednesday at around 8pm.

The eyewitness said, before the gangsters stormed into the RC’s house, they raided a shop nearby and stole an unknown amount of money.

’After stealing from the shop the gangsters stormed into Makamba’s house and stole bags containing clothes and other valuables,’ the eyewitness added.

Dar es Salaam Police Commander Alfred Tibaigana confirmed the incident and said the thugs stole 4,000/- from the RC’s house.

Meanwhile, three people died in separate incidents in Dar es Salaam.

Tibaigana said the body of a man who committed suicide was found hanging in his living room in Kipunguni.

He said Mohamed Kambangwa’s body was found by relatives.

Tibaigana said the cause of his death was not known.

In another incident, a man aged between 25 and 30 was found dead on Wednesday in the Indian Ocean. The body had no any injury.

Juma Hemed aged between 30 and 35 died on the spot after he was hit by a hit-and-run vehicle.
