Kenya’s Ulinzi FC hit Tanzania Mainland soccer champions Young Africans (Yanga) 2-0 in the international friendly match played at the National Stadium yesterday.

Busolo Wamalwa and Sammy Simiyu scored in the 65th and 70th minutes respectively.

Yanga\’s Kudra Omari, Said Maulidi Gaundence Mwaikimba and Hery Morris made several attempts to equalise in the last minutes but Ulinzi defenders who were keener, stopped them.

This is the second international match for Yanga to play, after forcing a goalless draw in their first match, against ZESCO FC of Zambia last Saturday.

Yanga are preparing for their African Champions League, first leg match against Zanaco of Zambia set for February 18 at the Dar es Salaam’s National Stadium.

Yanga’s archrivals Simba defeated ZESCO 1-0 last Sunday before clobbering Ulinzi 1-0 on Wednesday.
