President Jakaya Kikwete has sent a condolence message to the new ruler of Kuwait, Sheikh Saad Abdullah following the death of Sheikh Jaber Al Almad, late King of the Middle East state.

In the message, the President expressed deep sorrow and profound shock following the untimely death of Sheikh Jaber last Saturday.

The message is contained in a press release that was issued at Information Office (Maelezo) yesterday.

Kikwete said that the late Sheikh would be remembered for his invaluable contribution and commitment towards social economic success that Kuwait has attained.

Jaber has been a Kuwait ruler since 1977 and had been an active and decisive force in Kuwait’s development.

’At this time of grief I wish to convey, on behalf of the government, the people and indeed on my own behalf, to you personally, your family and the people of Kuwait, our heartfelt sympathies and condolences for this great loss,’ Kikwete said.
