Man accused of stealing gold ornaments

A Dar es Salaam resident, Musa Omary appeared in Ilala District Court on Friday allegedly for stealing golden ornaments worth 2.5m/-.

Inspector of Police, Joshua Ndege alleged before Ilala District Court Magistrate, Mwanaisha Chande that the accused stole 2m/- golden chains and 500,000/- rings, the property of Hamis Karama.

The prosecution told the court that the accused committed the offence on 20th last February at Jangwani street within Ilala District.

The accused denied the charge.He was remanded after he failed to meet bail condition.

The court had asked the accused for two reliable sureties to sign 2m/- bond each.

The case was adjourned to February 6th this year.
