In the wake of sprawling crime wave especially armed robbery in the county, the Minister for Public Safety and Security, Bakari Mwapachu today is expected to meet top police officers over the matter in Dar es Salaam.

The minister will discuss issues on security and ways of combating the tide of crime that is sweeping the country, says a statement released by Mwapachu’s office.

The meeting is expected to discuss, among other issues, ways of improving work performance by police and creation of an enabling environment to help the force face challenges posed by global change in science and technology, says the statement.

’’The meeting also will discuss the structure of the Ministry of Public Safety and Security, policy preparation and vision of the new ministry,’’ says the statement.
