Army Officers from Abuja War College in Nigeria have commended the way Tanzania Peoples Defence Forces (TPDF) train militia.

Speaking in Dar es Salaam on Friday on the occasion to abide farewell to the visiting group of officer cadets from Abuja War College, the Nigerian High Commissioner, Abdulmumini Abubakari said his officers have learnt a lot from the country.

’’We want to maintain the relationship which my country has with Tanzania as we are going to benefit a lot,’’ he said.

’’Tanzania, has been known as a peaceful country for many years including the good hospitality of its people, which has made the majority of foreigners to visit it,’’ he added.
He said it’s the first time for the students to visit the country and it won’t be the last time for them to come.

He said their college has a programme of visiting one African country each year.
He added that so far, they have visited two African countries, which are Burundi, and Tanzania and they are expecting to visit more African countries.

’’We thank Tanzanians for the treatment they have given us. Welcome to Nigeria’’, said Brigadier Abdulrahman.
