The IPP Executive Chairman, Reginald Mengi, has urged children in the country to be honest in their daily lives and shun deceiving others.
Mengi gave the advice in Dar es Salaam yesterday when speaking to children of Islamic school Al-Madrasat Munawwarat based at Msasani in Dar es Salaam.
The IPP boss visited the learning centre to thank the children for giving him great comfort when he lost his beloved son Rodney Mutie Mengi towards the end of last year.
I have come to greet you and give my sincere thanks for the support you gave me during the difficult time the time I lost my beloved son, who is also your brother.
But I, as your grandfather, would also like to advise you to maintain good behaviour especially in your daily lives, he said.
He said a childs good behaviour is a foundation for good life when he grows up.
In life, everyday you must work hard in order to make life good. Work hard, particularly in your studies while you are still a child.
But remember that a childs education without good behaviour cannot make you proud. On the opposite, if you have education and have good character you will be blessed, Mengi said.
In addition, Mengi promised the children that he was going to buy them a plot to construct a new building for the Madrasa.
I am told that you have a problem of space to carry out your classes. I have seen it and I agree with your tutors that you really need more space.
Today I have come to arrange for the purchase of a plot, after which the construction process should start soon, Mengi said.
Speaking on behalf of the children, Ustaadhi Nurdin Nassor Abdalah told the IPP Chairman that he would continue co-operating with him in all circumstances.
We believers understand that death is a door which every human being must pass through to go back to his Creator. We shall continue praying for your son so that the Almighty God receive him in his kingdom, said Ustaadhi Abdalah.
