Pension funds must benefit workers -Mbatia

NCCR-Mageuzi National Chairman, James Mbatia has issued a statement on the running of pension funds in the country.
He made clear his position on the matter yesterday at a press conference held at the party’s headquarters in Dar es Salaam.
The NCCR-Mageuzi leader said his party recognised pension funds as a major way to improve the welfare of workers through various benefits at the time of employment and after retirement.
He said employers in the country should see to it that the pension funds were properly managed to comply with the national objectives.
Mbatia said well-to-do people who acquired wealth through legal channels would always consider helping others and not offending the needy.
