Kikwete appoints Msekwa to chair conservation body

President Jakaya Kikwete has appointed former speaker of the National Assembly Pius Msekwa chairman of the board of directors of Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA).

The appointment took effect on May 26.
According to a Press release from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism the appointment of the other board members was done by the Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism.

The minister, Anthony Diallo, appointed the other 11 members of the board, namely: Job Ndugai (MP, Kongwa), Elvis Musiba (chairman of Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture) and Lucas Selelii (MP, Nzega).

The others are Kaika Saning’o ole Telele (MP, Ngorongoro) Cosmas Chikoti (Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority’s workers’ representative) and Fatma Simba who is CMSA legal affairs manager.

George Fumbuka (Core Securities Limited chief executive), Deogratias Ntukamazina (retired Permanent Secretary-Public Service Management) and Rashid Hemed who is a Deputy Police Commissioner) are also members of the board that also includes Yona Nnko (Arusha regional CCM chairman) and Emmanuel Chausi, Chief Conservator of Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority.
