Three charged with theft of motor parts at Dar port

  Humphrey Adam (L), Faki Ally Faki and Sekembi Hamisi arrive at Kisutu Resident`s Magistrate`s Court in Dar es Salaam yesterday to answer charges of stealing motor vehicle parts at Dar es Salaam Port.  
   
Three suspects yesterday appeared in Kisutu Resident Magistrate’s court charged with two counts of car parts theft.

Inspector of Police, Gaudianus Felian identified the accused as Faki Faki (40), a resident of Mtoni kwa Azizi Ally, Humphrey Adam (37) resident of Mbagala and Sekambi Hamis (35), resident of Magomeni Kagera.

The accused entered a no plea when the charges were read to them. They appeared before Resident Magistrate Emmanuel Safari.

Inspector Felian said the accused jointly and severally stole a Toyota Land-Cruiser’s control box valued at 2.5m/-, the property of Legacy Travel and Tours Ltd.

The prosecution told the court that the accused committed the offence on May 29. In the second count, Inspector Felian said the accused stole a control box of a Toyota Hiace minibus valued at 1.5m/-, owned by the same company.

The court granted bail to the second and third accused after they met bail conditions. The first accused was remanded for failing to meet bail requirements.
