New staff for Vice President’s office

President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete has appointed several personal assistants for the Vice- President, Dr Ali Mohamed Shein. The appointment became effective last month.

Seif Hassan Seif Msongoro has been appointed Assistant Private Secretary to VP. Before the appointment, he was Assistant Registrar of Education, Ministry of Education in the Zanzibar Government.

Augustine J. Ngonyani has been appointed Personal Assistant to the VP (International Relations Affairs). He was Senior Foreign Service officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Mark Bendera Luhanga has been re-assigned and now becomes Personal Assistant to the Vice President (Speech Writing), while Bakari Abdalah Juma has been appointed as Assistant Personal Assistant to the VP (Speech Writing).

Before the new appointment, Luhanga was Personal Assistant to the VP (Political Affairs) and Juma was Head of Division of Donor Aid and Programmes Development, in the Ministry of Education, Zanzibar.

Waadili Sinare Lemama Kavishe has been appointed to the post of Personal Assistant to the VP (Political Affairs). Before the appointment he was Training Coordinator in the Ministry of Finance, Zanzibar.

Mwamini Juma Malemi has been appointed Personal Assistant to the VP Community Development and Public Complaints Affairs). Malemi was Senior Community Development officer in the Ministry of Community Development, Gender and Children.

Jerome Simon Assey has been appointed to take the post of Personal Assistant to the VP (Economic Affairs). Peleja L. Masesa has been appointed as Personal Assistant to the VP (Resident).

President Kikwete has also appointed several journalists to different positions for the VP.. Said Ameir remains the VP’s Press Secretary, while Penzi Nyamungumi has been appointed Assistant Press Secretary to VP.

Clarence S. Nanyaro has been appointed as photographer for the VP while Amour Nassor Kassim has been appointed as his assistant. Before the appointment, Nanyaro was the acting photographer to the VP and Kassim was Chief Photographer for Zanzibar government.
