Lowassa starts 5-day tour of Iringa Region

Prime Minister Edward Lowassa today starts a five-day visit of Iringa Region where he is expecting to launch a number of projects.
A press release issued by the Prime Ministers Office yesterday in Dar es Salaam says that after arriving at Nduli airport in the morning, Lowassa will go to the State Lodge to be given the regions developmental activities report and later proceed to Kitonga in Kilolo District to inspect an irrigation project.
According to the statement, from Kitonga the Premier will travel to Ruaha Mbuyuni to place a foundation stone of an onion market project. At the location the Premier will also address a public rally and inspect the construction of a bridge at Msosa in Ruaha Mbuyuni.
On Tuesday, the Prime Minister will tour Iringa District where he is scheduled to launch the irrigation scheme at Mlenge village and meet with the villagers before heading to Pawaga to inspect a secondary school project.
The statement further says that later on the Prime Minister will visit Kitanzini village to share experiences with members of Kitanzini Youth SACCOS. In the evening he will address a meeting at Samora Stadium in Iringa town and talk to youths representatives at night.
On Wednesday, Lowassa will start his tour of Mufindi District where he is expected to lay a foundation stone of Changarawe Secondary School and later on open a farmers warehouse at Mtambula village before handing-over cheques to SACCOS members.
He will later visit Lufuna village to inspect the tea-seedbeds owned by small farmers.
In the evening, the Premier is expected to address a public rally at Mashujaa Stadium in Mafinga and just before dinner he will meet with the representatives of industrialists and businessmen.
On the following day, the press statement says the Premier will proceed to Matamba in Makete District where he will be briefed on an electricity project being carried on at Madinahi. In the afternoon he will visit Bulongwa orphanage centre and later address the public.
The statement further shows that on Friday, Lowassa will arrive in Njombe where he is expected to lay a foundation stone at Mabatini Primary School. He will also visit the Dairy factory and later inspect SACCOS activities in Mtwango. From Mtwango he will proceed to Makambako to inspect a fertilizers warehouse and later address the rally at Police area.
In the evening, the Premier will return to Iringa town where he is expected to hold a meeting with women entrepreneurs. He is expected to jet back in Dar es Salaam on Saturday morning.
