A husband’s dreams of taking her wife to college has come true, thanks to drinking a bottle of coca cola recently at Mtoni kwa Azizi Ali in Temeke Municipality in Dar es Salaam.

A mini-bus driver in the city, Bonephas Stephene was yesterday presented with 1m/- after winning the amount in the ongoing eight- week promotion campaign for the soft drink giant- Coca cola dubbed Vuna Pesa na Coca-cola.

Coca-Cola Kwanza Limited Country Demand Creation Manager, Francis Nanai said the lucky man won the cash on October 25, 2006.

Ecstatic Stephene expressed his gratitude Coca-Cola Kwanza Limited for organizing the promotion, saying at long last his wife could now complete a nursing course, which she had dropped out halfway for lack of school fees.

”I am happy. So happy, my wife can now go back to college,” said the joyous man.
He said he was married with one child.

”Before I married my wife, her father had enrolled her in nursing college. Unfortunately, the old man passed away before she had completed her studies.

She discontinued due to lack of fees. I have always dreamed one day, I will take her back to college,” he said.

Coca-Cola Kwanza Limited also awarded Ibrahim Toba, a resident of Gongolamboto in Temekeke Municipality, 500,000/-. Two other city residents - Erasto Mkweli and Nicolus Ching’enya won 50,000/- each.

In the promotion all one has to do is to buy coca cola products and check undercover of the bottle top if you have won any prize.

The promotion is in its second week.
