Cultural exhibitions to mark Mfuko week

The Mfuko Cultural exhibitions provide a vital link to exhibitors and stakeholders, at both local and international levels, Tanzania Culture Trust Fund Executive Director Rose Sayore has said.

Sayore said in Dar es Salaam on Thursday that the exhibition that had been conducted annually since 2002 brings together exhibitors and stakeholders.

Briefing the press, she disclosed that Dar es Salaam residents would be treated with an exciting event of the Mfuko exhibitions to be conducted at the Makumbusho village in Dar es Salaam.

Sayore said the Mfuko exhibitions was part of the annual Mfuko week activities, taking place in Dar es Salaam
She named Karimjee Hall and the Village Museum as venues for Mfuko’s exhibitions.

Sayore also said that some of the Mfuko week activities include the Zeze awards on Monday next week.

Commending on the grants, Sayore said up to 2006, the Tanzania Culture Trust Fund had funded about 400 cultural activities in the country.

She said that the fund had awarded about 64 distinguished cultural stake holders through the Zeze cultural awards.
