Villagers put up 39m/- school

Kalambanzite villagers in Sumbawanga District, Rukwa Region have constructed a secondary school at the cost of over 39m/-.

Kalambanzite Ward Executive Officer James Michael said the construction work on the school project started last April.

”We completed the construction last month after spending 39,435,195/-,” he said.

The official was presenting a report on the work to Deputy Secretary-General of the Youth Wing of CCM Amos Makalla, when he visited the site in recognition of the contributions by youths in the project.

The maiden school has been named Kwela Secondary School.

”Villagers contributed in cash and kind about 23,35m/-,” he said.

He said the school will opens doors to first entrants early next January.
