JK swears in five members of labour and reconciliation commission

The newly created Commission for Labour and Reconciliation is set to take off after President Kikwete yesterday swore in five of its commissioners in Dar es Salaam at the State House.

Two members of the commission, which was constituted under the new labour laws were not available to be sworn-in. They were reportedly out of the city.

The commission is charged with settling all labour disputes in the country.

According to a statement issued by the State House in Dar es Salaam , the commission will be led by Adam Simbeye, an employee of state broadcaster, Televisheni Tanzania (TvT).

The commissioners sworn-in were Simbeye (chairman) and Antony Mseke, Peles Hageze, Kassim Kapalata and Antony Eye as members.

Two members of the commission Nicholaus Kingazi and Caritas Antony Mushi, were not present at the swearing-in ceremony.
