Youth accused of abusing boy (8)

A Dar es Salaam youth has been arraigned in Kinondoni District Court for having carnal knowledge of a Standard Two boy aged eight years.
The youth, Shukuru Hashimu (17) was arraigned yesterday before Magistrate Eva Nkya.
Prosecutor Thomas Mtikatika claimed that the suspect committed the offence on March 16, this year.
The accused, who resides at Mabibo in Kinondoni District, pleaded not guilty.
He was remanded for failing to meet bail conditions which included two sureties each and a 300,000/- bond.
The case will come up for mention on April 23, this year.
