Vodacom enhances network reliability

Vodacom Tanzania has now established the widest and most reliable, quality network coverage in the country.
The company`s Communications Manager, Jacqueline Namfua, recently confirmed that the one and only `communication spot` in Mindola, Dodoma was covered by the Vodacom network.
“Two weeks ago, an article in a national newspaper said that Mindola Village, in Dodoma, is one spot where residents can make or receive phone calls.
The spot on top of a small hill, is 2 kilometers from Mindola.” said Namfua.
“We thought the story was interesting and set to find out whether in fact the one spot was covered by our network, only to discover that Vodacom`s network is available from the `communication spot,’” said the Communications Manager.
She said that after establishing Mindola on our network radar, our next step is to ensure we turn the entire town into a communication hub and make mobile communication more accessible for its residents,” said Namfua.
The company also announced it has added five new sites in Pemba in its plan to expand and upgrade its coverage area.
“The new sites activated over Easter holidays will allow for better quality reception, connectivity and offer clear signal on the island. We now have a total of seven sites in Pemba,” she noted.
She said that as the leading cellular network in Tanzania, Vodacom now has the widest coverage point with its network covering all the regions in the country.
Last year alone, Vodacom’s network almost doubled in terms of new sites constructed, said Namfua.
“We have extended our network coverage across the country and we now reach more places, connecting more consumers with unmatched network quality,” she said
