A Dar man yesterday pleaded not guilty to sodomy in the Kisutu Resident Magistrate Court involving five boys aged between 9 and 16.

Mohamed Hatibu (28) appeared before Resident Magistrate Catherine Revocati.

According to the prosecution, the accused is alleged to have committed the offence between April and June 10, this year, at Mwanayamala Koma Koma in Kinondoni District.

The prosecution told the court that the boys were aged 8, 9, 10, 11 and 16.

The case comes up on June 29 this year for mention.
Meanwhile, Mashaka Matoke (38) appeared in the same court for perjury.

The prosecution claimed the accused being a witness in Case no. CC721/05 presided over by Resident Magistrate Hezron Mwankenja gave false evidence that sought to defend the accused person.

However, the accused pleaded not guilty and the case comes up for mention on June 29, this year.
