Arafat Bakari Mshamu Mwangosongo, a one-and-half year-old child with disability, died yesterday evening at the Aga Khan Hospital.

Arafat, who had neither legs nor arms, lived with his parents at Kibiti in Coast Region. He died of malaria.

He met his death in the presence of the Palestine Ambassador to Tanzania, Yusuf Habab, who was at his bedside.

Before being taken to the hospital, he was admitted to Mchukwi Health Centre in Kibiti last week. Arafat was born at Kibiti-Rufiji in Coast Region.

The Palestinian envoy has volunteered to organize burial arrangements for the little boy in collaboration with relatives.
