The on-going Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF) has turned into a rare opportunity for education enthusiasts to enroll for degree courses in various fields of specialization effective the next academic year in September.

Those who were unable to meet Open University of Tanzania March 2007 deadline have now been offered grace period to apply right away at the exhibition pavilion at the Mwalimu Nyerere International Trade Fair grounds for the courses offered.

OUT Head of ICT Infrastructure Management, Stephen Lukindo said the university avails registration forms just at its pavilion to facilitate registration. He was speaking on behalf of OUT Communication and Marketing director, Albert Memba.

Open University has put in place computer laboratories at both the University in Dar es Salaam headquarters and in the regional centres of Mtwara and Mbeya to help in academic performance.

Meanwhile a number of exhibitors have drastically reduced prices for their products at the Saba Saba exhibitions.

In Vodacom pavilion one can buy a mobile telephone handset just at 5000/-.

Prior to the Saba Saba exhibitions this year, the cheapest brand new mobile handset sold at 32,000/-
