Long-Serving soccer coach Abdallah `King` Kibadeni has urged players featuring for the national team, Taifa Stars, to be as serious on the pitch when representing their respective clubs.

He said most players played below standard when with their clubs forgetting that it is the clubs that made them be selected for Taifa Stars.

`National team players should play very well in their teams the same as they do in the national team. They should know that it is the clubs that clear their way to the national team,` he added.

`Taifa Stars` coach normally selects players who play very well when they are with their clubs,` the Mtibwa Sugar coach said.

`Most of my players who play for Taifa Stars have not been impressing at all but it is forcing me to field them because if I do not they may be dropped at the national team,` he said.

Mtibwa players who are in the Taifa Stars are Mecky Maxime, Salum Sued, Shaban Nditi, Meshack Abel and Nizar Khalfan.

Mtibwa meet Yanga this afternoon in the Tusker Cup final at the CCM Kirumba Stadium.
