Parliament appoints seven to public university boards

Parliament has appointed seven legislators to be public university board members in the country.
The Clerk of the National Assembly, Damian Foka said that Martha Umbulla (CCM, Special seats) would serve as a board member for the Mzumbe University while Job Ndugai (Kongwa, CCM) would be the board member for University of Dodoma.
He said that Susan Lyimo (Chadema, Special seats) and Aloyce Kimaro (Vunjo, CCM) have been appointed board members for the newly established Ardhi University.
The Muhimbili University of Health and Allies Sciences (MUHAS) would be represented by Kabuzi Rwilomba (Busanda, CCM) and Dr. Lucy Nkya (CCM, Special seats), while Dr. Omar Mzeru (Morogoro urban, CCM) will become the Sokoine University of Agriculture board member.
Meanwhile Dr. Christian Ishengoma was sworn in Dodoma yesterday. Dr. Ishengoma who is also the Pwani Regional Commissioner takes over the seat as a legislator for special seats youth wing (CCM), left vacant by the late Amina Chifupa who passed away in June this year.
