Mvita Union win hockey title in Tanga

Mvita Union of Mombasa are the new champions of the Phoenix Assurance Hockey tournament.
The Tanzania Hockey Association (THA) Secretary General, Kaushik Doshi, said yesterday that Mvita Union won the title after defeating Nairobi`s Simba 4-2 in the final match played at Popatlal grounds in Tanga last weekend.
Austin Otieno, Joachim Ocholla, Joshua Njogu and Peter Gaiduma scored for the newly-crowned champions.
The two-day tournament attracted local teams such as Arusha Twiga, TPDF, Moshi Khalsas and Magereza.
