Businessman in court over theft from the Egyptian embassy

A trader who resides at Tungi Kigamboni in Dar es Salaam, Zacharia Boniface (21) was arraigned at the Kisutu resident Magistrate’s Court on Friday allegedly for stealing iron sheets from the Egyptian embassy in the city.

The accused was arraigned before Principal Resident Magistrate Sivangilwa Mwangesi.

The Prosecutor, Inspector of Police Boniface Edwin alleged in court that on October 14, this year at Knondoni, the accused did steal iron sheets worth 300,000/- the property of the Egyptian embassy.

The accused pleaded not guilty and the case comes up for mention on November 1, this year.

Meanwhile, in the same court, a resident of Mbezi Juu, Dar es Salaam, Wiston Andulile (25) was charged with assault. The accused was brought before Resident Magistrate Sundi Fimbo.

It was alleged that on October 15, this year at Mwenge area in Kinondoni District, the accused did assault Philemon Minga by cutting him with a knife on various parts of the body.

The accused pleaded not guilty and the case comes up for mention on November 1, this year.
