Hearing of a matrimonial case in which advocate Fatma Karume appeared for a client resumes in February, this year, at the Kisutu Resident Magistrate`s Court in Dar es Salaam.

The case, which was adjourned last year after a magistrate withdrew over allegations of threats from the counsel, has now been assigned to Resident Magistrate Pellagia Khaday.

The hearing was adjourned in November, last year, after Resident Magistrate Eddy Lyamuya withdrew from the case claiming that the counsel had threatened to deal with her.

Lyamuya was the third magistrate to withdraw from the case after Adolph Mahay and Euphemia Mingi withdrew, accusing the counsel of threatening them.

Advocate Fatma, however, refuted the claims as baseless, stressing that one of the magistrates had asked for a bribe from her client.
