Dar man dragged to court over motor vehicle stealing

A Dar es Salaam resident has been arraigned in Ilala District Court over stealing a motor vehicle valued at 10m/-.

Hilary Ibrahimu (58) who lives at Mkwajuni in Dar es Salaam yesterday appeared before Magistrate Joyce Minde to answer charges prefered against him.

Prosecutor Daniel Buma claimed that the accused stole a `Toyota Mark II` saloon car, the property of Isack Alfred.

The prosecution further claimed that the accused committed the offence deemed to be contrary to the requirements of the law on January 16, this year. The case comes up for meantion on February 5, this year.

Meanwhile, Valerian Malisa a resident of Ilala Jangwani, also in the city appeared in the same court where he was charged with possessing illicit drugs.

Prosecutor Denis Mujumba told the court that the accused committed the offence on January 21, this year at Jangwani.

The accused pleaded not guilty and the mgistrate adjourned the case to February 5, this year.
