Datoo IPP Print Media group editorial director

Sakina Zainul Datoo, who boasts years of experience as a senior journalist, has been appointed Group Editorial Director of IPP Print Media.
An IPP Limited press statement issued in Dar es Salaam yesterday and signed by Company Secretary Agapitus L. Nguma said Datoo would take up the newly created post on Monday.
``IPP Limited is pleased to announce that it has appointed Ms Sakina Zainul Datoo, as Group Editorial Director of IPP Media with effect from 7th April, 2008,`` read the statement.
It said she holds a BA in Journalism from Edinburgh, Scotland, and a journalism certificate from the American University in Washington, DC.
The statement added that Datoo also holds a Journalism Without Stereotypes certificate from the University of Columbia, Missouri, the US.
``Ms Datoo is an experienced journalist. She has been Chief Editor of the Express (weekly newspaper) for three years and the Managing Editor of the Sunday Citizen for three and half years,`` noted the statement.
