BFT postpones club championship

The national boxing club championship has been postponed, the Boxing Federation of Tanzanian (BFT) said yesterday.
BFT official Saidi Adola said yesterday that the event was postponed because of poor turn out of the teams but a reliable source within the body said that the event was postponed because of lack of money.
The championship was earlier set to start last Monday in Dodoma.
Adola said the tournament would now be staged in the same region from May 26-31. The deadline for confirmation would be May 15.
