Stage set for regional lawn tennis tourney

The regional lawn tennis will be held in Ethiopia from May 15-18 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The championship will attract competitors from Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and Ethiopia.
The coach of the Dar es Salaam Gymkhana Club who is also the coach of the national team, Salum Mvita, said yesterday that the event set to end on June 1 in Dar es Salaam, would be played in a rotational basis, where every competing country would be given a chance to host it.
He said the Dar es Salaam leg would start on May 29.
Mvita said the second leg would be held in Nairobi, Kenya from May 22-25.
The event which will be sponsored by Vodacom will be for senior players only.
The winners in every category will be awarded 800 dollars (about 800,000/-).
