The Co-Chairman of Sullivan Foundation, Carlton Masters has said the forthcoming meeting will be the mother of all summits following impressive preparations that Tanzania has shown.

Talking to reporters in Dar es Salaam yesterday Masters challenged Tanzania to fully make use of the summit as a great opportunity to get investors.

The five-day Sullivan Summit will take place in Arusha from June 2, this year.

``People from United States would love to invest in Tanzania, the preparations show that the country is ready for this summit and it is the best opportunity to show investors that Tanzania is the place to invest,`` Masters said.

He said the Leon H Sullivan Summit was not a business meeting although it had a business aspect, adding that the Summit would help build relationship between Tanzania and investors from abroad.

Masters mentioned some sectors that would benefit from the summit outcome as infrastructure, tourism and energy, saying that Tanzania was now popular in Western countries because of hosting such a big Summit, a fact that would make investors want to come this way.

``I`m sure that Tanzania is now in the news almost all over the world. This event and the fact that the US President George Bush visited Tanzania and spent about four days here shows there is a peaceful environment for investment,`` he said.

A total of 6,000 participants from the United States and some from Africa are expected to attend the meeting whose main agendas, among others, are expected to be tourism and infrastructure.

Other high profile individuals expected to feature at the meeting include former US President Bill Clinton.

This is the eighth Leon H Sullivan Summit. The seventh meeting was held in Nigeria.

Other countries where the summit has been held are Ghana, Zimbabwe, Senegal, Gabon and Cote d’Ivoire.
