Three traders arraigned over stealing vehicle in armed robbery

Four Dar es Salaam residents appeared in Ilala District Magistrate`s Court, charged with armed robbery.
Before Resident Magistrate Janeth Kinyage, Assistant Inspector of Police Denis Mujumba named three of the accused, who are also businessmen as Fadhil Abdallah Ramdhabi (29), resident of Buguruni Kwa Mnyamani; Shafii Kombo Abdallah (32) of Buza Temeke and Vicent Fidelis Ngowi, (30) who resides at Tegeta Nyaishozi.
He named the fourth accused as a fridge technician, Denis William Moshi (34), who lives at Mabibo External within the city.
It was alleged that the four, jointly on June 1, this year at about 22 hrs at Kitunda area within Ilala District, did steal a `Toyota RAV 4` with registration number T 868 ADH valued at 10m/-, property of Magreth Ngowi (38), a businesswoman residing at Mbezi within the city.
It was further alleged they used a pistol to threaten Ngowi in order to obtain or retain the said property.
The accused pleaded not guilty and were remanded after failing to meet bail conditions. The case will come up again for another mention on July 24, this year.
In another case before District Magistrate Mwanaisha Chande, Docas William (45), was charged with obtaining money from a city businesswoman who resides at Ukonga.
Assistant Inspector of Police Mussa Gumbo alleged that the accused between November 24, 2007 and sometimes early this year at Kigogo area within Ilala District, did obtain 5m/- from Neema Mwaisaga, (50) resident of Ukonga by false pretence.
