New push on work places

Participants in the international conference on Fair Globalisation, Safe Workplaces, Strategies and Practices for Sustainable Development held in Dusseldorf, Germany recently, have called for concerted efforts to reach the goal of decent work for all through consolidated commitments at all levels and stronger labour inspection services worldwide.
According to a press release issued by the International Labour Organisation in Dar es Salaam, representatives and scientists from governments, international organisations and companies underlined the necessity of new strategies and practices to achieve the common goal of a fair globalizsation and safe workplaces for all.
’’The opportunities of globalisation must extend to everyone and that progress in social protection matters such as occupational health and safety is necessary for economic growth,’’ they declared in their final communiqué.
