TFF`s draft constitution ready

The first draft of the constitution of the Tanzania Football Federation, TFF, has been issued to their members to study and propose amendments.
TFF Information Officer, Florian Kaijage said that seven copies of the draft constitution have been distributed to members who comprise regional football associations, clubs and stakeholders.
``Despite the fact that constitutions of regional associations are supposed to match with ours, we understand that there are some that will slightly differ according to the circumstances,`` he said.
He said he did not expect constitutions for all football clubs to look similar, because in certain cases company boards are the ones who appoint their club leaders and these mostly are drawn from the company management.
Clubs from military institutions for example appoint their leaders according to ranks, Kaijage elaborated. He said a TFF committee formed in February this year and entrusted with the task of preparing the constitution, frequently met to discuss different constitutions including that of FIFA to see to it that they conform with the requirements.
The new TFF leadership on assuming office promised to make some amendments to the existing constitution so that it meets the members` needs.
Some of the committee members are TFF President Leodgar Tenga, Secretary General Frederick Mwakalebela, Ismail Rage, Jumbe Magati and Khalifa Mgonja.
