One of the East African Community retirees now in Dar es Salaam waiting for his terminal befits is seriously ill.

Mzee Paul Michael (87) came from Urambo, Tabora nearly a year ago to join other retirees to press for their benefits have been difficult to get from the Treasury.

``I am sick, I don`t know whether I will ever receive the money before I die, ``he told this reporter.

Mzee Michael worked with the defunct EAC railway corporation between March 4, 1969 and March 25, 1979. He cannot walk now as his legs cannot carry him anymore.

``I fell down as I was making a follow-up to my dues in Tabora. All my legs are weak,`` he says.

He had asked his two grandsons, Shabani Hamis and Nassoro Hussein to come to Dar es salaam to help him pursue the benefits. ``Thank God, I have with me two of my grandsons who are helping to find food for me,`` he says.
