Shinyanga nurse killed, body ditched nearby, decomposing

A nurse with the Shinyanga regional hospital was found dead at a dump in Majengo area in the municipality. The Shinyanga Regional Police Commander, Shaib Ibrahim named the nurse as Praxeda Somola.
He said the body with bruises from beatings was not immediately recognized as it had already decomposed.
It is alleged that a day before her death, the nurse was seen in one of the town`s entertainment centres but was not seen again the next day, prompting relatives and workmates to start searching for her.
He said when the police who are investigating the killing went to the nurse`s home, they found a window open and the radio on.
It is suspected that the nurse was killed at a different place and dumped at Majengo to cover the tracks of the killers.
