Abandoned children overwhelm Norwegian

Norwegian Frode Farestveit moved by the suffering of abandoned children is now sponsoring Moyo Mmoja orphanage and abandoned children`s centre.
``The plight of abandoned infants touches me deeply,`` Farestveit told PST here recently at children`s centre at Kiromo Ward, Bagamoyo District, stressing the children were unfortunate when they should have deserved happiness and care.
The centre receives abandoned infants from all over the country, giving them shelter and care without prejudice.
Presently the Moyo Mmoja centre has eleven children all in good health.
He said apart from caring for abandoned children, the centre also looks after orphans and children living in difficult conditions by providing them with education and food items every month.
