The 90 days campaign dubbed, ‘Cha asubuhi,’ is available to customers who purchase daily, weekly or monthly package. In addition to free megabytes Tigo customers will also get free minutes to call other Tigo clients.
“We are always looking out for innovative ways to reward our active customers and put smiles on their faces, this campaign offers us a good opportunity to connect with new and existing subscribers,” said Tigo Tanzania’s Chief Commercial Officer, David Umoh.
Umoh said for a daily package, customers will get a bonus of 10minutes and up to 100 megabytes while weekly package customer, receive 70 minutes and up to 700Mbs and the monthly package customer gets 300minutes and up to three gigabytes surfing time.
“We believe that most plans are made early in the morning, and since we are keen on meeting the needs of our diverse customer base across the country, this campaign gives early risers and those who prefer to plan their day-to-day undertakings in the morning a boost to jump-start their day,” he added.
Seconding Umoh’s observation, Tigo Tanzania’s Head of Marketing Services, William Mpinga said over the years, the telecommunications company has pioneered many innovations in the market including free Facebook in kiswahili, smartphones in Kiswahili, among many others.
“Now, with ‘Cha asubuhi,’ over 12 million Tigo customers will be able to wake up and make free calls, browse the internet, without the worry of having airtime on their phones. This further demonstrates our efforts in being the telco that gives value to customers,” Mpinga said.
The campaign will run for 90 days and is open to all new and existing Tigo customers. All the customer needs to do is to subscribe to the package of their choice through Tigo’s menu, Tipo Pesa Applications or Tigo’s website.
