Airtel Money boss urges customers to use platform during Xmas season

AIRTEL Money subscribers have been urged to use the platform in sending and receiving money free of charge saying the network infrastructure has been upgraded to fourth generation (4G) in most parts of the country.

Speaking in Dar es Salaam this week, Airtel Money Director, Isack Nchunda said through its high speed communication network, subscribers can enjoy all types of services at lowest process in the market while sending money on the platform is free.

“This is a clear statement of our commitment to loyal customers, we are confident that the new service of sending money free we are introducing today will also encourage non users to start using an array of services offered through Airtel Money,” Nchunda said.

He explained that Airtel Tanzania is committed to improving financial services to reach and save over 80 percent of the unbanked population in the country. Nchunda stated that Airtel has been designing an array of innovative products that are easy and most affordable to use such as individual loans known as ‘Timiza’ loans, group loans christened ‘Timiza Vicoba’ loans and the recently launched Kamilisha overdraft services.

 “Airtel Money is also connected to over 40 banks in the country which makes it possible for customers to do instant money transfer from their bank accounts to their Airtel Money wallets anywhere,” the Airtel Money Director, added.

He further stated that Airtel is committed to offer customers freedom to communications and transact from anywhere during the end of year festive season. “As we approach Christmas festivals when most of Tanzanians use the opportunity to show love and care to their families, friends and loved ones, Airtel Money is the platform to use,” he argued.
