Regional Administrative Secretary, Ado Mapunda said recently while receiving the donation from Bayport Financial Services officials that the computers are an important modern tool to improve education quality in the region.
“We thank Bayport for this donation to Mara region which we promise to make good use of in improving productivity,” Mapunda said while urging his peers in the region to make better use of the gadgets.
He pointed out that use of computers in any aspect of public service should improve the quality of services being rendered while also boosting efficiency.
“I have directed these computers to be distributed among our ward secondary schools so that our students can improve their performance by starting with recording their details,” the Mara RAS noted.
Bayport Financial Services Coordinator, Mercy Mgongolwa said their dream of donating the computers throughout the country is becoming true after starting with Dar es Salaam last year.
“These computers are part of the 205 pieces that we intend to donate by end of this year valued at 500m/-,” said Mgongolwa. Some 125 pieces of computers were already donated to the President’s Office Central Establishment.
