Dar resident wins motorcycle in ongoing ‘Wagiftishe’ end of year drive

A resident of Kurasini in Dar es Salaam, Noel Kabuje has won a ‘bodaboda’ motorcycle in the ongoing Tigo Tanzania’s ‘Wagiftishe’ end of year campaign.

Kabuje who won the motorcycle after purchasing an Itel T20 smartphone from a Tigo shop in the commercial capital on Friday, expressed his joy for getting the bike which will enable him to start a motorcycle taxi or ‘bodaboda.’  “I am self-employed so this motorcycle will give me an alternative means of earning a living. I really thank Tigo for caring its customers, not only by providing quality smartphones at an affordable price, but matching these with exiting prizes that will now assist me to improve my economic condition,” he said.

Tigo’s Communications Manager, Woinde Shisael congratulated Kabuje for winning the bike saying the telco as the market leader in digital lifestyle transformation in the country, the campaign is geared at ensuring that everyone has a chance to own a quality smartphone at an affordable price.

“Furthermore, with every Itel T20 smartphone purchase from Tigo shops countrywide, customers enter into a draw for a chance to win one of the five motorcycles and smartphones that are still up for grabs in the promotion,” Shisael said.

She explained that upon a customer’s purchase of the model ITEL T20smartphones, Tigo’s customer service staff at the shops will record the smartphone’s IMEI number and the customer’s name and mobile phone number. These details are entered into weekly draws with the luck winner driving home the motorcycle for a period of six weeks.

“This campaign is also aimed to show appreciation to our customers for supporting Tigo as a brand in the market for the whole 2021 as we come to the end,” the Tigo Tanzania Communications Manager added.
