Manag ement at CRDB Bank Plc will continue working with its board and clients to improve banking services through innovation and technology use.
Managing Director, Dr Charles Kimeisaid in Dar es Salaam yesterday thatthey are dully humbled after beingnamed as East Africa’s Most InnovativeBank in 2017 by The Business YearMagazine.
“On behalf of the board and staff ofCRDB Bank, I am humbled and proudfor our bank to be named the East AfricaMost Innovative Bank 2017. For us,this award further confirms our abilityto remain at the forefront of innovationwithin the region banking industry,”Kimei told a news conference inDar es Salaam.
He said his management will staythe course by investing in cutting edgetechnology in designing products andservices that best suits the diverseneeds of customers while providingthem with value added services.
“As a bank we will continue to differentiateourselves by aggressivelypursuing innovative solutions thatlives up to our tag line, “The bank thatlistens,” Dr Kimei said.
The latest awards add to severalothers which the bank received fromThe Banker magazine which publishesmonthly in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The CRDB Bank Plc MD furtherstated that they always strive to be abank that creates trends rather thanfollowing them saying currently, bankingservices are no longer confinedto banking halls but also incorporatedigital banking.
“As a bank, we are proud that our effortsfor shaping the digital future arecrowned with such valuable awardsand that our bank is considered as apioneer innovator” he noted.
This is the third year in a row forCRDB to win excellence awards thisyear after being named the most sociallyresponsible bank of the year andthe best SME bank of the year by CPIfinancial working in partnership withAfrican Development Bank.
Speaking at award ceremony in Dares Salaam recently, TBY Chairman,Dr John Kyuu noted that the editorialboard of The Business Year magazineafter a thorough process, voted CRDBBank for the award of its pioneeringinitiatives in innovations and as recognitionof outstanding efforts in offeringof customized solutions.
