The Global Beer Responsibility Day which was initiated in 2015, is an annual industry-wide initiative that brings together brewing companies, big and small, and beer associations.
During the day manufacturers highlight and reinforce the responsibility efforts conducted and supported by brewers in partnership with wholesalers, retailers, government and law enforcement officials, NGOs and others.
During the week before the day, TBL Group has carried various campaigns country wide which advocates leisure and health drinking and insists on harmful drinking. The campaigns were conducted on community level, bars, as well as among drivers. Also, the company would provide alcohol testing devices to traffic police.
Commenting on this year’s celebrations, TBL’s Managing Director, Roberto Jarrin said, this year’s theme: “Smart Drinking: Pass It on” focuses on the actions we can all take every day to bring this belief closer to reality through company’s Smart Drinking Beliefs and Global Smart Drinking Goals.
“Being passionate about brewing great beers that bring people closer together, TBL wants every experience with beer to be a positive one. We are helping to empower consumers to make smart drinking choices. To achieve positive changes in perceptions and behavior, through our responsible drinking Global Smart Drinking Goals which encourage and insists on Smart Drinking, which also targets our employees,” he said.
TBL Group has been providing training on importance of responsible drinking to its employees, and different social groups through seminar, media, posters and public gathering.
This awareness campaigns have carried out during the national road safety week and in drinking places. The awareness providing by the company has also been integrated into the training providing to entrepreneurs who sale its products known as Retail Development Progamme (RDP).
