dubbed Airtel TUNAKUJALI involved Airtel employees and her customers and was held over the weekend in Dar es Salaam.
The fundraising was aimed at extending the company’s programme of Airtel Tunakujali where the company’s policy where employees contribute their own funds to support the less privileged and the needy in the society.
Speaking during the breakfast meeting fundraising event, Airtel Tanzania Director of Business Enterprises Unit Boniface Mbwambo said that the company’s staff have decided to with Airtel customers come together and contribute their own funds which will be directed on supporting vulnerable children who have been experiencing challenges to get good treatment quality.
Airtel Tunakujali programme is our company’s policy where employees contribute their funds to support our surrounding community who are less privileged. The programme has been running for the last three years and this time we have felt that it is good for the management to host this breakfast meeting fundraising so that we can raise money and direct to cover medical health insurance for our children who cannot afford to pay their medical expenses. Our reason to for choosing children is to support our government’s objectives in ensuring people get reliable services and children are among the most vulnerable groups, said Mbwambo.
I take this opportunity to congratulate my fellow staff for turning in big number for this event. You have to understand that by being present here today, you are the source for the event to being successful, said Mbwambo while at the same extending congratulates to Airtel royal customers and stakeholders for their support.
Speaking at the same event, Airtel Tanzania Manager for special customers department Teddy Chamsama said that Airtel Tunakujali programme has been supporting the needy in the society by donating various humanitarian assistance aimed at showing love and care to people living in difficult conditions in the country.
As you can see, we have come together to support the Tunakujali Programme by contributing our owns funds which we will directed to child health care. In addition, we are supporting our company’s initiative at returning back to our surrounding community by giving part of our profit through this programme, said Chamsama.
