EXIM Bank Tanzania, over the weekend organized a special dinner event for its customers in Iringa region to provide an opportunity to discuss business opportunities, growth plans and services offered by the bank in the region.
Speaking at the event, which was attended by various stakeholders of the bank, including government officials, businessmen, small and large, as well as employees of the bank, Exim Bank Chief Executive Officer, Jaffari Matundu said, through the event they also aimed to provide opportunities among the customers. so that they can get to know each other and open up the scope of doing business together.
"As well as appreciating the way our customers have been with us to achieve the growth and quality of our services, this event provides an opportunity for our customers to also get to know each other and thus open the door to opportunities between them," said Matundu.
He said the economic situation in the region offers great growth opportunities for the bank and that is why it is committed to serving large, small and medium customers to bring prosperity to key sectors of the region including trade, agriculture and livestock.
"Statistics show that Iringa Region has continued to build a strong and sustainable economy, and therefore efficiency in the financial system is one of the most important and fundamental requirements for economic growth and development in general. Exim Bank is committed to ensuring that we achieve this together,” he said.
Speaking on behalf of the Regional Commissioner Queen Sendiga, Iringa District Administrative Secretary Ephraim Kyando, in addition to congratulating the bank for its excellent services in the region asked the bank's management to look at how to expand more in the region by adding more branches in various districts of the region so that its services can benefit many citizens of the region.

Earlier speaking at the event, Exim Bank's Head of Retail Service, Andrew Lyimo said the bank was more committed to improving service delivery systems and procedures to meet the real needs of customers and the market, increasing the professionalism and competence of employees as well as investing in modern technology that will enable them to reach more customers, more easily, wherever they are and thus eliminate the need to visit the bank's branches when they are in need of services.

Expressing gratitude on behalf of other customers of the bank, Atu Jonas as well as expressing satisfaction with the bank's services asked the bank to expand its reach in the region so that its services can reach other citizens in the region, especially traders and farmers in need of better banking services.
