Zantel unveils new service to allow customers call all networks

IN a bid to foster reliable and affordable communications services to all customers in the country, Zantel yesterday unveiled its new product dubbed “BongaMpakaBasi’ to allow customers to call across all networks at the affordable prices.

The new product portfolio is set to offer customers with exclusive experience through its improved voice packages that can be accessed easily with more value than before. With the new product, Zantel customers will now buy only one voice package and make calls across all networks in the country.

Speaking during the launch, Zantel’s Head of Mobile Business Aneth Muga said the campaign is part of the Zantel’s strategy of improving communications services in the country while ensuring customers experience fair and affordable prices to stay connected with their loved ones across other networks.

“We understand that affordable communications services are one of the key pillars for economic and social development in any country as it gives people opportunity to unleash different potentials. Through this product, we want to give our customers freedom to call any network at the affordable and competitive price that will in turn impact their economic and social well-being,” said Muga

Prior to the launch, Zantel had two voice packages including the on-net named ‘Bonga’ and the off-net bundle called ‘MpakaBasi’ that are now unified to form BongaMpakaBasi, a new portfolio that offers more freedom to communicate across other networks at the same price of calling Zantel to Zantel.

“With BongaMpakaBasi our customers will no longer need to buy more than one bundle to call all networks, with the new package you can enjoy unlimited access to call any network in the country. All these are possible through our improved and simplified menu for all customers to easily access the services,” added Muga.

Speaking at the launch the Head of Zantel Zanzibar Mohammed Khamis Mussa  said the company has made a huge investment mark in Zanzibar, its main business footprint, by deploying state-of-the-art communication structures through its undersea fibre optic cable that links Tanzania and other East African countries that enabled Zantel to provide wholesale international voice and data connectivity to other operators.

“Advanced telecommunications is one of the key pillars for a developed society. The Zantel 4G plus network has therefore, contributed to the development of various sectors including education, finance and health-care as well as bolstering economic and business growth”, says Mussa
