Speaking about the achievement, the airline’s spokesperson, Lucy Mbogoro, noted that the carrier has managed to be punctual in its operations in all its flights for the whole month of January and promised to maintain the record.
"We have exceeded our target of being punctual by 90 per cent in the country and our objective is to deliver consistent on-time departures for our passengers as part of our overall improved customer service strategy,” she said.
She added that the airline will also invest in upgrading its offices in the next couple of months and improve overall customer experience.
“Last year was a challenging period for fastjet with a fleet replacement programme, network realignment and administrative changes. During that period we were also implementing some schedule changes and experienced flight disruptions which were unfortunate, and we apologies sincerely for that," she said.
She said the airline currently operates in between Dar es Salaam and Mbeya, Kilimanjaro, Mwanza, Lusaka and Harare with its fleet of recently introduced Embraer E190 aircraft.
