S.A Police have confirmed the man's arrest saying the culprit was apprehended after being spotted near the parliamentary building over the weekend.
The Police added that the suspect had successfully set the historical assembly building into flames after he had managed to climb over the fence and break-in through a window.
The suspect is currently charged with five crimes including, theft, housebreaking, possession of an explosive device and arson.
Prosecutors say that additional charges will be added against the suspect.
