Bishop Gwajima topples Halima Mdee in Kawe MP race

Bishop Josephat Gwajima has emerged winner in the race for Kawe constituency . Until now, the constituency has been an opposition stronghold for almost a decade now.

In that ten year period, Kawe had been under MP Halima Mdee (Chadema) but all that has now changed.

The Kawe Constituency Electoral Commissioner has announced Bishop Josephat Gwajima as the winner after he racked in some 194,833 votes followed by Halima Mdee who got 32,524 votes.
